Great idea for upcycling old prints/paintings! Can I strongly advise, with no judgement and only in a positive way, please do not spray paint thinners when you have a young child in the room. The hydrocarbon is extremely harmful to young lungs. Wishing you health and happiness ❤

Love your technique! I already painted a black background with a white moon but knew I needed to somehow get it to "glow." I'm going to let it dry and repaint it the way you demonstrated. I think I'm going to make the stars and rim with glow in the dark paint. Thanks for the great tips!!

As long as you wash your hands quickly after handling stuff like that and don't touch your mouth after, you should be fine. If you touch your mouth and don't wash your hands, you can get sick. Love the artwork though!

This was just what I was looking for as I began my search for "beautiful white elephant paintings". The reason for my search was buying a 15" ceramic elephant at a yard sale. I had painted it white, but I wanted to add some dimension with glitter and beads. Your tutorial has made it easy. I will add tape to the "points", and then fill in the shapes with glue and different white glitters and beads. Can you visualize it? Thanks for being the inspiration I was seeking! BTW, my elephant will either become a fought-over white elephant gift, or the centerpiece for the gifts at a white elephant gift exchange this winter. Best part... my elephant's trunk is raised up--a symbol of good luck.
